About the project
A redesigned Passenger information management system that aligns with Sound Transit's style expression, incorporating signature colors and iconography.

Heading home during a Saturday evening after enjoying an ube latte from Hood Famous cafe in Seattle's Chinatown-International District, I couldn't help but notice this very uninspired screen displaying the upcoming Link Light Rail train arrival times when I got off at Roosevelt Station. It was especially disappointing considering the quality of the hardware used for the display.

Taking matters into my own hands, my objective was to create an easy, seamless, and concise design that establishes a strong connection, instills confidence, and enhances the overall journey for riders. This was the final lofi prototype I decided to move forward with.

When presenting ourselves to the communities we serve, it's crucial for products to have a consistent look, feel, and voice and a unified style expression. I incorporated Sound Transit's iconography into the redesign, as icons transcend language and literacy barriers, acting as a visual language to assist riders in transit system navigation.
